Favorite band: HAIM

Last time I posted a favorite artist of mine, it was the lovely Brooke Fraser, and today I have to introduce you all to my all time favorite artists/band: HAIM

HAIM (pronounced hyme, rhymes with "time") is a band from LA, California and made up of three sisters; Este, Danielle, and Alana. Its a very Alternative/Indie rock/Pop 90's sound and their single "Falling" is my favorite song and the only song I've ever found that I can play like a million times and haven't gotten tired of. Their style is absolutely perfect and I am OBSESSED with allllllll their music, which is saying a lot since I am pretty picky about the music that I listen to. 

Their first album "The Days Are Gone" is being released next Monday -- September 30th and I am super excited (so excited that I actually pre-ordered it off of iTunes believe it or not). I honestly believe that this band is going to make it big, and when it does, remember where you first heard of them, okay? ;)

I haven't done a Friday favorites in 5 months. 5 months you guys! That's actually pretty embarrassing. I hope today's collective makes up for it -- I really hope to post more of these in the future!

So pretty is it not? Its easy to say that gold necklaces are easily my biggest weakness and this one is just beautiful! I'd love to layer it with a light white tee a belt, and a pair of dark skinny jeans with a pair of ankle boots perhaps?

Summer's End

It's kind of sad to think that summer is close to it's end and its definitely an understatement to say that I'll miss visiting the beach, snapping photos, and the endless sunshine. This summer was one of the best I've ever had and I'l surely miss it -- especially during those cold winter mornings when all you want to do is stay under the sheets! Yet despite all that, I am pretty ready for Fall; wearing layers, the start of the holiday season, baking, and iced coffee in the mornings.

I'm definitely going to savor these last few moments of summer and the warm weather before the usual Autumn weather rolls in.

Still here.

Hello lovelies! Still alive and kicking here at Modern Buttercup, just wanted to drop by to let you all know that I'm still here in my little corner of the internet and that I'll resume posting the day after tomorrow :)
