some jam turnovers...

I love making jam turnovers and thought I'd share the recipe with you along with the steps how to make them. They're so easy to make and delicious to eat! Although it's summer, these taste just as good and even better with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Cut out circles using a bowl or cookie cutter. They shouldn't be too small! They need to be big enough to turn over later.

Put a dab of jam on each circle! I used strawberry jam.

Fold the circle in half, and close it up using a fork to secure the jam in. If you'd like, add some holes in the top! Optional: put an egg wash on it to give it a golden look and make it look nicer
Put them on a baking sheet and bake according to pie crust directions.

Ta da! You've got some lovely jam turnovers ready to eat! Enjoy!

Variation: make some cinnamon apples and put them in the turnovers instead of jam.
Recipe for cinnamon apples:
- cinnamon
- apples
- pinch of sugar
- dice apples and then pour cinnamon and add sugar. Mix well.
